poem just 4 sum1

When it's someone's birthday
you give them a hug and a small
token of your affection,
but when it's your lover's birthday that's
a whole different thing

You make lists and check his favorite stores
But you want to give him something
different and unique
So what should it be?

A romantic night in?
A walk on a sandy beach?
A candle lit dinner?
Or maybe yourself wrapped in a red bow?


But those are all common things
This makes it a very hard decision
Well I don't have all the answers
So I really don't know what to do

I asked my boyfriend what he wanted
and all he said is "Nothing I have everything
I ever wanted, I have you!"
Well that makes everything so much easier now

Today is the day I celebrate the birth
Of a man who gives my life meaning and worth.
Today is your birthday, happy birthday to you
Celebrate today's birthday as life beginning anew.

May you have many more birthdays in the years ahead
To celebrate your life, not a number to dread.
